Designers, creatives - we’re all guilty of it.

Just having an easy conversation with a prospect, no plan, I don’t need to sell, I only need to find out what they need, they’ve already bought me.

They might have bought you but what you haven’t considered yet is

Their uncertainty about your price - they like you but you’re more expensive than they expected.

They’re also looking at someone else - who coincidentally is also just asking nuts and bolts scope questions.

They’re unsure of when they want to start, there’s not real urgency on the matter.

They don’t know the full scope of what they need, they think they just need a logo.

These are all gaps that are filled with a considered sales process (we use the Creative Strategy Call).

And I’m still shocked at how many creatives I talk to who have no script at all when they’re selling, it’s purely winging it every time.

Which means the results they get are also winged in too right?
